Nook Color SDK released

on

Barnes & Noble has just released the software development kit for their Nook Color eBook reader. With the recent unlocking of this device by the community, and now- access to the code, Android debug bridge drivers and an emulator, it looks like developers planning on writing apps for this device are going to have a ball of a time. Somehow it feels like Barnes & Noble had plans for their eBook reader to be more than just a reader after all. With its 800 MHz T1 OMAP 3621 processor and POWERVR SGX530 GPU recently confirmed, and a low price of $250- an Android tablet can’t really get much cheaper than this. Let’s see what the developers can come up with and whether it will affect the sales of the device. Do you have plans to get a Nook Color?
