New official Froyo update for unlocked Dell Streak users

Published

While AT&T users patiently wait for the Froyo (Android 2.2) update on their Dell Streaks, users of the unlocked Dell Streak have already been enjoying it for awhile. It seems like Dell is rubbing more salt in the wounds of those AT&T-locked users by releasing a new Android update for the unlocked users. The update, labeled build 12821, fixes some major bugs including a web browser redirect issue, issues with 720p video recording, and Android Market crashes. Since there was no official changelog, we’re unsure of what else was fixed. So if you’re using an official ROM on an unlocked Dell Streak, you can grab the update here (150MB). As usual, be sure to backup your data before performing an update. Even though it’s official, you never know what could happen.
