MSI has just confirmed in an official press release that they will be unveiling their two new generation WindPad tablets. One of them will be on the Win-Tel (Windows 7 and Intel) platform while the other one will be an Android tablet. The WindPad 100A tablet will feature “the new Google Android OS” – does this mean it could be running on Honeycomb? After all, previous reports have stated that MSI will only be releasing their tablets when Honeycomb is ready. Other listed specs of the tablet include a 10.1″ touchscreen, an ARM processor, a digital compass, GPS, G-Sensor gravity detecting device, ALS light sensor, WiFi, optional 3G support and a battery life rated at 8-10 hours. The WindPad 100W tablet will be running Windows 7 Home Premium on an Intel mobile processor, a 32 GB solid state hard disk, G-Sensor, ALS light sensor and WiFi. From the vague details in the press release, it sure sounds like MSI want us to find out more by visiting them next week. We’ll keep you posted.
