If you’re a Firefox fan and can’t leave home without the browser, chances are that you already have it on your Android phone. Well, an updated version of the beta browser has been released, so head over to the Android Market to download it. It’s still got lots more to catch up on before it brings the desktop experience to your mobile phone, but it’s getting there. The latest beta of Firefox 4 for Android brings an updated UI, new Extensions options, offline reading tools and more. The downside to having these extra features is its noticeably larger footprint- the program weights in a heavy 13.4MB and takes up 17.8MB on your phone, so if you can’t install apps onto your SD card, you might have to free up some space first. A version for Maemo has also been released if you’re not an Android user. Head over to the official Firefox blog for more details.
