MIUI ROM gets ported to the Dell Streak

If you’ve ever been on the lookout for custom ROMs for your Android phone, you would have probably heard of MIUI. A custom ROM is basically a standalone image of the phone’s operating system that has been customized to usually include features and improvements that aren’t in the original/stock versions of the ROM. MIUI is one of the ROMs that have been talked about recently. Most hardcore Android fans tend to stay away from it because of how much it looks like the iPhone, but other than that, it’s one of the sexiest looking ROMs around. It’s already been ported to quite a number of Android phones like the Desire and EVO 4G, and now it looks like it’s made its way to the Dell Streak. Though the build is only in alpha mode- it works with most of the phone’s basic features, which means for those impatient people, you can install it on your streak and still use it for most of your daily activities. If you’re interested, head over to the xda-developers forum to check it out.
