MetroPCS to be launching a new Android LTE phone by February 2011

With Verizon recently entering the 4G LTE playing fields, MetroPCS has decided to step it up by announcing that they will be launching an Android LTE-capable smartphone in Q1 2011, possibly in February. With Verizon also launching phones around that time, it’s going to be a heated competition between the two carriers. As of now, MetroPCS has only one device (the Samsung Craft feature phone) capable of utilizing their LTE network, and it looks like they’ve been complacent for a tad too long. And now, with Verizon in the 4G game as well, they can’t sell themselves as being the only LTE carrier around anymore. Any bets on what their Android 4G LTE phone will be?
