The long-awaited “iPhone killer” from Meizu has finally be revealed. The Meizu M9’s website has just gone live today, and its specs have been revealed in its full glory. And boy, does it look impressive. The M9 uses Sharp’s ASV display which features a 960 x 640 resolution on a 3.5″ touchscreen. Retina Display anybody? Other specs of the M9 include: Android 2.2, Samsung’s S5PC110 Cortex-A8 processor (the same one found on the Nexus S), 8GB/16GB of internal storage, 5 megapixel camera that supports 720p HD video recording, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro SD card slot (supports up to 32GB), mini USB port, 3.5mm headphone jack, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, HSDPA and HSUPA support, and best of all, a removable 1370mAh lithium-ion battery. If Gingerbread gets released for this device, I think we’re all set for one of the sexiest phones this year. The phone will be released in the main cities of China this Christmas and will eventually be released elsewhere. Hopefully it makes its way across the sea to our shores. Head here to visit the official website.
