iPad clone running Android on a Freescale CPU spotted

A company in China has just launched a new Android tablet that runs on the Freescale iMX515 chip that’s based on the Cortex A8 Core, overclocked to 1GHz. It packs 512MB of RAM and Android 2.2. With its full metal alloy shell covering its 10.1″ capacitive touchscreen, one can’t help but think it looks like the iPad especially with its one middle button design at the bottom of the tablet. No screenshots or videos have been released showing how Android runs on the device, but the tablet could be called a looker, especially if you’re a fan of the iPad’s design. If you prefer Android over the iOS, but want the shell of an iPad, I guess this tablet is just for you. Head here for more pictures.
