The successor to Apple’s iPad has been rumored to make an appearance by February next year. According to DigiTimes they got the news that Foxconn, the current manufacturers of the iPhone and iPad, will be shipping out the next generation iPad tablets within the next 100 days. Assuming they don’t ship it out on the hundredth day, we should see it around February, and by latest- March. Initial shipments will be around 400,000 to 600,000 units, and will slowly increase until it goes on sale early spring in conjunction with the birthday of the first iPad in April. As of now there are no confirmed details about the new iPad, but it is rumored to have dual cameras (for FaceTime), a higher resolution display and 1080p HD video playback. It’s also rumored to be much lighter than the current generation iPad, and pack a gyroscope. Stay tuned for more details as we draw closer to its release date.
