iPad 2 case mold drawings suggest an extra port

According to a drawing of the iPad 2 case mold that surfaced recently, more details of Apple’s upcoming tablet have leaked. From the drawing (if it is an accurate representation of the final product), the iPad 2 will have an additional slot on its left side – suggesting an additional port or SD card slot. An additional memory card slot would seem very unlikely, as Apple has always been uptight about their iOS devices having a fixed amount of memory, and a USB port that could be used to read thumb drives isn’t very like them either. But as they say, nothing is impossible and we wouldn’t be surprised if the iPad includes both of them in the next iPad. Other features that have been confirmed – the back camera that fits the measurements of the iPhone 4’s camera, and the new iPad is supposed to be thinner. According to the leak, it will be 8.5mm thick though it isn’t clear if the measurement was taken from the tapered edge or from the center- the original iPad has a thickness of 13.4mm from the center. The iPad 2 is starting to materialize more and more each day. Wouldn’t it be funny if Steve Jobs pulled out a totally different looking tablet and presented it as the iPad 2?
