HP prepares a PalmPad for CES 2011 debut

According to some reports online, HP are busy preparing a webOS-based tablet to demonstrate at next year’s CES (Consumer Electronics Show). The best part is, HP will be previewing not just one, but three tablets instead. Tentatively named PalmPads, the tablets will be running an updated version of the webOS – 2.5.1 (which are probably optimized to run on tablets- virtual on-screen keyboard anyone?) but they will be a spin-off the unreleased HP Slate. A prototype tablet, rehashed with a new operating system? Doesn’t sound too interesting but for the benefit of the doubt, let’s hope they made some changes. The tablets are rumored to come with mini-HDMI output and front and rear cameras (1.3 megapixel and 3 megapixel, both with LED flash). The tablets are also rumored to have a release date of March 2011. Finally, a tablet featuring HP-Palm’s webOS. Color us excited.
