If you’ve always wanted to show off videos from your iOS device on your large HDTV instead of having everyone cramped around you, the folks at Sanwa have just released a solution to the problem. Now, you don’t have to buy an Apple TV to use AirPlay, but there’s a simpler solution instead. It comes in the form of an HDMI adapter that simply plugs into your iOS device’s peripheral port. The other end of the adaptor allows you to plug in a regular HDMI cable in which you can then connect to your TV. Now you can watch all your iTunes shows in their full 720p glory without getting an Apple TV. Interested? The Sanwa HDMI adaptor will set you back $72 (5980 yen). A bit pricey if you ask me, but its functionality and portability might be worth the price.  What do you think?
