Handwriting recognition now available on the iPad

If you’re one of those people who have trouble typing quickly, even on the iPad’s giant keyboard, you’re in luck. PhatWare has released a new app called PhatPad that helps you solve this problem. All you have to do is handwrite something (in the iPad’s case, use your finger) and the program can automatically convert your scribbles (handwriting) into proper text that can be edited, copied and cut just like regular text. In addition to converting your handwriting, PhatPad allows you to type and insert images into the same page, allowing you to create media-rich content on your iPad. It also supports Dropbox so you’ll have no trouble importing and exporting the work you’ve created on your tablet. If someone else has an iPad with PhatPad, you can even share files with them through a WiFi connection for easy collaborative work. Other features include AirPrint support, and PDF exporting. Purchase PhatPad now for $4.99 on the iTunes App Store.
