Google Latitude now released for the iPhone

The Google app that made its appearance earlier last week but was then quickly removed, is finally back up on the iTunes App Store again. Google Latitude is a simple app that allows you and your friends to find out wherever you are in the world. All you have to do is launch the app, choose whether you want to let your friends know where you are, and you’re done. The app can even work in the background so you don’t have to keep the app open for it to update your position. As to why anybody would want to use this- I guess parents can use it to track their kids or spouses etc. The best way I can think of how to use this app would be to find a friend in a location both of you aren’t familiar with. And if you manage to install this app and run it on somebody’s iPhone without letting them know- stalking just got a little easier. Head over to the iTunes App Store to download Google Latitude.
