Galaxy Tab firmware update turns it unhackable

Now some shocking news for the Android community, especially the hackers/developers working with the Galaxy Tab. Samsung has announced that they are working on a new firmware update that will lock their Android tablet down tighter than a prisoner in Alcatraz. Apparently the new firmware updates will come with signed bootloaders that prevent unauthorized firmware from running. Once installed, all other custom firmware found on the device will be rendered useless, making the Galaxy Tab a Samsung-only experience. Strange why Samsung is doing this, considering one of the biggest selling points about Android is how easy it is to unlock, with Android engineers themselves campaigning how it should be open and unlocked in the first place. This news won’t go down well with the fans.
