Galaxy S Froyo update delayed in the UK – again

Despite all the previous announcements of how the Galaxy S Froyo update arriving soon, Samsung users in UK have been let down once again. It sure seems like Samsung is really testing the patience of their customers. The update which was promised yesterday to bring their Galaxy S users up to Android 2.2 didn’t arrive at all. Here’s what the T-Mobile UK representative had to say about the delay: “Hi folks, I’ve been talking to the handset team and the Samsung people today and the latest news is as follows. Unfortunately the 2.2 update will not be available via KIES today as expected and Samsung have confirmed that FOTA will not feature as part of this update, but should appear at a later date. Samsung are indicating the firmware will be made available at some point next week. We’ll keep you posted with further updates as we get them.” From the way things seem, it doesn’t look like any Samsung Galaxy S owners will be getting Froyo soon. Even over here in the states, we have yet to receive any news about the Android 2.2 update. I wonder if people will care anymore when the update finally arrives.
