Dell Venue now available in Hong Kong

Not to be confused with the Dell Venue Pro (even though they do look alike and have similar names), the Dell Venue has arrived in Hong Kong. After being released in Korea last week, the phone has finally made its way to the global center of trade and shopping paradise. The Android phone bears a striking resemblance to its earlier released Windows Phone 7 brother the Dell Venue Pro. But instead of having a WP7 operating system, it runs on Android 2.2 instead. The rest of its specs are pretty similar to the Pro, with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, an 8 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, 512MB of RAM, microSD card support, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS. It also lacks the slide-out QWERTY keyboard of its older brother, but with a nice 4.1″ Gorilla Glass AMOLED screen, who needs one? The Dell Venue is on sale for HK$ 3,999 (which converts to about $514 here). Expect it to arrive in other parts of the world in the coming weeks.
