Competing iOS web browsers given NC17 ratings

For some strange reason, Apple is playing some dirty tricks with competitors of their iOS Safari browser. Apparently in an attempt to drive sales of their competitor’s browsers down, Apple has been dishing out the NC17 rating to alternative browsers that can be found on the iTunes App Store. Consumers who want to purchase these browsers have to be above 18. Most of these browsers only have a couple of warnings, i.e. Skykfire and Terra are rated NC17 because of Frequent/Intense Sexual Content or Nudity, while Opera was rated NC17 for Frequent/Intense Mature/Suggestive Themes. But one alternative browser stuck out from the rest- Atomic, which seems to have been given the whole shebang: Frequent/Intense Horror/Fear Themes, Frequent/Intense Simulated Gambling, Frequent/Intense Profanity or Crude Humor, Frequent/Intense Mature/Suggestive Themes, Frequent/Intense Realistic Violence, Frequent/Intense Alcohol, Tobacco, or Drug Use or References, Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence, Frequent/Intense Sexual Content or Nudity. Talk about overkill! And the best part is- Apple’s very own Safari browser can access all the same websites that these browsers can. Not to mention it comes with the iPhone, and users have no way to remove it or change their default browsers either. How many of you don’t use an alternative browser to surf the web on your iOS device?
