Yes, you read it right – another manufacturer has decided to foray into the world of Android tablets. This time, it’s none other than BenQ. The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer has announced that they will be releasing a new Android tablet in Taiwan, China and possibly the rest of the world. The BenQ R100 tablet is slated for a Q1 2011 release and will probably be revealed at CES 2011 or MWC 2011. The Android tablet will pack a 10.1″ (1024 x 600) LCD touchscreen, an 833MHz Samsung ARM-based CPU, 8GB of internal storage, WiFi, an SD card slot, mini HDMI, mini USB and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Judging from the specs, it looks like it’s not going to be a high-end offering, seeing how it’s lacking in the dual-core/storage department.
