The folks over at PocketNow have discovered some interesting information. While rummaging around through the patents filed at the USPTO, the have discovered a whole bunch of trademarks filed by Barnes & Noble. The trademarks all have descriptions that lead us to believe they B&N have a number of tablets coming up for us. The description reads: “portable electronic apparatus for displaying, receiving, reading and storing downloadable electronic publications, namely, books, e-books, magazines, newspapers, text, images, digital web site content and digital media featuring music through wired and wireless Internet access, accessories…” If that doesn’t sound like a tablet to you, then I don’t know what does. The same description was given for the “Nook Kids”, “Nook 2″/ “Nook2”. A Nook designed for kids and a sequel to the original Nook perhaps? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. B&N also filed for “Nook Study”, “Nook Start” and “Nook Cook” that could also mean Nook content or devices suited for different purposes. It looks like B&N are really riding the Nook all the way to the end. Let’s see how their upcoming eReader/tablets will fare against the competition.
