1 million Samsung Galaxy Tabs sold

Samsung has announced that they have sold 1 million Galaxy Tabs within the first 2 months of its debut- not a bad number at all, when you consider the plethora of Android tablets available in the market at the same time. Sure, Apple’s iPad hit 2 million within the same duration, but they didn’t have any competition when their tablet first launched. Samsung had announced two weeks ago that they had sold 600,000 tablets and were aiming to hit one million by the end of the year. With the millionth mark arriving a month early, Samsung has now raised their estimate to 1.5 million by the end of 2010. Very impressive numbers to go along with their recently announced 3 million Galaxy S phones sold as well. And with them now owning the largest percentage of the American Android market share, it sure looks like Samsung will be ending the year on a good note. Let’s see if they can carry their momentum over to next year.
