Despite warnings from Google about Android 2.2 not being optimized for tablets, manufacturers haven’t been listening at all. Since all the manufacturers don’t want to see Apple monoplizing the tablet market with the iPad this holiday season, many tablets have been released with the unoptimized Android operating system. The latest one to join the UK market is Toshiba’s Folio 100 Android tablet. The Folio 100 runs on NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 250 chip (sweet!), and sports a 10.1″ touch screen with a resolution of 1024×600. It also has 16GB of internal storage, microSD support, HDMI output, USB, WiFi, 3G and Bluetooth as well as a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera. It runs on Android 2.2 which supports Flash 10.1 as well. With claims of a 7-hour battery life, and a price tag of $536(£329), this Tablet looks like quite the contender for the tablet crown.
