Sony Ericsson “Anzu” will ship with Android 2.3 in 2011

Some images of an upcoming Sony Ericsson phone have surfaced online. Called ‘Anzu’, it packs a huge 4.3″ touchscreen and is supposed to be “very, very slim”. The high-end phone is even touted to come with HDMI output and has the ability to record videos at 1080p! The phone might even be branded as a Bravia phone instead of Xperia, which might show SE’s plans to distance themselves from their mistakes. In addition to the features mentioned, according to the folks who found the pictures, the device will be running Android 2.3, Gingerbread, when it ships early next year. But after the long wait that SE Xperia X10 owners had to go through before even getting Android 2.1 on their phones, take these rumors with a pinch of salt. Though if it all turns out to be true, Sony Ericsson could very well redeem themselves if they manage to get this one right. What do you think of the Sony Ericsson Anzu? Will Sony Ericsson be able to deliver a proper Android phone this time around?
