Samsung Galaxy Tab Sales predicted to hit 1 million in 2010

Samsung has just announced that they expect their Galaxy Tab sales to pass the million-units sold before the end of the year. The device that was first launched in Europe and recently released in Korea will be reaching our shores next week. Hitting the 1 million mark will make it the most popular Android tablet currently available, but it’ll still be a long way off before it reaches the success that Apple had with their iPad- 4.19 million sales this past summer alone and is predicted to go over 10 million after this year’s holiday sales. With Google warning consumers that Android 2.2 wasn’t meant for tablets, Samsung’s promise of an update to 2.3 might convince some people to purchase the Galaxy Tab, but knowing how late they have been delivering Froyo updates for their Galaxy S phones, consumers might think twice. Now let’s see what Apple has in store for the next generation iPad.
