Samsung said to cut Galaxy Tab production in half

Samsung might not be doing as well as they think they are doing with the Galaxy Tab. They forecasted that they will be able to sell a ridiculous amount of them by the end of the year 2010, but an analyst claims that it’s not going to happen. Ashok Kumar, an analyst of Rodman & Renshaw, has predicted that tablets are going to suffer in the market due to smartphones and laptops which consumers will buy instead of tablets. And apparently, he has been talking to some contacts who have told him that Samsung has pulled back on the production of their Android tablet- by as much as half. If that is the case, then Samsung will never hit their target of 6 million Tabs to be sold. Samsung has yet to comment on the situation, but it seems like Samsung is giving up on their Tab sales target or rumors about of cutting down production are false. What do you think?
