LG Vortex officially announced on Verizon

In a press release, Verizon and LG have officially announced the arrival of their next Android phone, the LG Vortex. Targeted at first-time smartphone users, this phone won’t blow your mind or turn anyone green with envy when you pull it out of your pocket, but it’s not going to blow a hole in your wallet either. The LG Vortex is a rebranded Optimus One that LG has been releasing on other carriers as well. Featuring Android 2.2 (with Bing) running on a 600MHz processor, a 3.2” touchscreen, WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, pre-installed LG Apps, Visual Voice Mail, Skype mobile and VZ Navigator capable and a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash. The LG Vortex will cost you $79.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract with Verizon. It will be available online and in stores on November 18.
