LG L-03C is a camera..that makes phone calls

Phones with high-end cameras seem to be all the rage now. After Nokia’s N8, the iPhone 4, Panasonic’s Lumix phone- everybody wants their phones to take the best photographs. LG has a new addition to this niche of phones. LG has just announced the L-03C, a phone with a camera that puts your N8 or iPhone 4’s camera to shame. A 12 megapixel CCD image with an ISO range of up to 3200, Pentax 1:3.6-5.5 lens, 3X optical zoom, Xenon flash, and HD 720p video recording. It also has a 3″ touchscreen, 3.5 hours talk time and 12 day standby time. It feels more like a camera with phone features than the other way round. But camera phones like these will eventually be the end of handheld camcorders and compact digital cameras. Sure, it probably doesn’t run on Android, support custom ROMs or any of your home-brewed software, but who has time for anything else when you’re too busy making movies or taking pictures with this device? No word on official pricing, but don’t expect to see it arrive on our shores when it goes on sale in Japan this January.
