LG Apex to arrive on US Cellular

Today, US Cellular and LG have announced that the LG Apex Android smartphone will be available on US Cellular’s network this Friday- November 19. This entry-level phone is targeted at the budget conscious crowd, or those who are looking to dive into Android, and want a physical keyboard. The LG Apex features a 3.2″ touchscreen, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard with a navigation pad, a 3 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD support and unfortunately, Android 2.1. Hopefully we’ll see a FroYo update for the phone soon, if not it’s going to be a deal breaker for a lot of people- nobody wants an outdated phone anymore. The LG Apex will set you back $79 with a 2-year contract from US Cellular starting this Friday. Does this phone have your attention?
