HTC Merge might be delayed for LTE

According to a rumor, Verizon’s own version of the T-Mobile G2/HTC Desire Z, the HTC Merge, might have a delayed launch. The rumor suggests that HTC might want to swap out the 3G radio for 4G LTE instead. If it turns out to be true, then it will cause the HTC Merge to be delayed from this holiday season until next year, when Verizon will start supporting 4G LTE for smartphones. If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on the Merge, is this good or bad news for you? You might get the phone later, but if you do, you get 4G LTE. If you don’t, it comes on time with 3G.
