HTC Desire HD overclocked to 1.53GHz

Even though there is no need to overclock the HTC Desire HD- the phone already performs well at stock speeds, some folks have decided to take the device for a ride anyway. Using SET CPU, a developer has managed to increase the Desire HD’s processor speed to 1.53GHz, 50% higher than the stock 1GHz processor. Overclocked at 1.53GHz, the Desire HD manages to impressive by scoring over 2900 points on the Quadrant test. Though it’s not the 1.9GHz of the T-Mobile G2, I have a feeling that somebody will attempt to make the device run at those speeds soon.
