It appears that a new app from Dell has hit the Android Market. Labelled “for use with Dell Streak devices only”, Backup & Restore from Dell is an app from Dell that allows you to backup all the contents of your Streak- system settings, call logs, texts, ringtones, wallpapers, bookmarks, user dictionary, and downloaded apps- onto your SD card. Using the same app, you can also apply your phone backups from the SD card onto your phone. Since the upcoming Froyo update will wipe your streak clean, this app should take away the hassle of manually backing up and restoring your phone. With Backup & Restore now available for the Streak, we’ve got a feeling that it shouldn’t be too long til we see the official Froyo update from Dell.
