Dolphin Browser HD’s update touts Gingerbread’s arrival

It looks like Gingerbread has been already distributed to developers who’ve been doing a pretty good job of staying silent (NDA perhaps?). After reported sightings of the operating system over the weekend, another clue points to Gingerbread’s imminent arrival. According to Dolphin Browser HD’s latest update, it fixes a UI compatibility issue with Android 2.3. Who would know that the browser would be incompatible with Gingerbread unless they had the operating system to test it themselves? With Dolphin Browser being one of the first apps to require an update to work with the upcoming version of Android, it’ll only be a matter of time before other apps start offering compatibility updates as well, and hopefully not too far away, the release of Gingerbread itself. You can download the Dolphin Browser HD update from the Android Market.
