According to the folks over at Digitimes, Apple has selected a camera lens maker for their next iPad. This means that the next iPad will be sporting a camera or two (most likely two, seeing how the latest iPod touch has two cameras for FaceTime). According to a statement on their report, lens provider for the 5 megapixel camera on the iPhone 4, Largan Precision has declined to comment on whether the company will be the sole lens module supplier for Apple’s upcoming iPad 2 tablets. By declining to comment, it can be deduced that they are involved with the next iPad since they could have easily said they weren’t providing the lens for the tablet. With the rumored shipping date of the device to be the first quarter of 2011 and announcement date to be the beginning of next year, it won’t be long before we find out what the iPad 2 is really made of. What features are you hoping to see in Apple’s next tablet?
