Are you an iPhone 4 user who envies the QWERTY keyboard on your friend’s Droid 2 or BlackBerry phone? Well you no longer have to be that envious person. The folks over at BoxWave have read your mind and answered your prayers with their new Keyboard Buddy iPhone 4 Case. This simple device is a slide-out QWERTY keyboard that doubles up as a protective case for your iPhone 4. All you have to do is attach it to your iPhone 4, pair both of them through Bluetooth and you’re good to go. No more typing on a virtual keyboard when you can have the tactile feedback of physical buttons. The keyboard also has an on/off switch for you to conserve battery life of the keyboard when it is not in use. In case you were wondering, the case doesn’t get in the way of the other buttons on your iPhone, so you can rest assured that your phone won’t be crippled by using it. But as with Bluetooth devices, the main question is how long it can last with extended usage- nobody likes to keep charging 2 different devices at once especially when one won’t function without the other. BoxWave’s Keyboard Buddy for the iPhone 4 costs $69.95 and will begin shipping in December 2010, in time for the holidays. Who’s interested in rocking a physical keyboard on their iPhone 4 this winter?
