Normally landline phones aren’t what you would consider the talk of the town, but Binatone’s latest offering deserves some coverage. The iHomePhone, a landline cordless phone, has a 2.8″ touchscreen and here’s the kicker- it runs on the Android operating system. Granted, it isn’t the first of its kind, but the phone does have an “i” in its name so that warrants some attention! It also supports microSD cards for storage, and has a touted battery life of 80 hours. In addition to functioning as a regular phone, the Android operating system allows you to use Android apps and play games as well. The Binatone iHomePhone will retail for about $160 (£100) and will go on sale before Christmas in UK. Now that we’ve seen the flexible Android operating system being used in phones and tablets, let’s see what device will manufacturers will put Android into next.
