Android Market to have content rating

Published

on

Google has just announced on the official Android development blog that they will be making some improvements to the Android Market. One of these enhancements to the Market will be the addition of content rating levels. There will be for content rating levels: All, Pre-teen, Teen, and Mature. This will allow parents to have a stricter control over what their kids can download with their phones, and for users in general who want to know what sort of app they are downloading it it’s not clear enough in the description. Starting next week, developers who submit new or updated apps to the Android Market will be required to include a rating. Apps which don’t have a rating will be treated as “Mature” until it gets changed manually. What do you think of the new content rating system on the Android Market? Will be useful to you?
