The Advent Vega makes its appearance

After the Advent Vega went on sale last week to replace the problematic Toshiba Folio 100, it was snapped up before the day was over. Now it appears that the tablets have finally made their way around to their eager customers. Featuring a 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, 512 MB of RAM, a 10.1″ touchscreen, 4GB of storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, and a 1.3 megapixel camera, it won’t cost you an arm and leg to enjoy a dual-core Android tablet this Christmas. Though it comes with Android 2.2, it doesn’t have the official Android market (a problem can be easily rectified by downloading apps manually or through an alternative market), so you might want to take that into consideration as it could be a deal breaker for some. Retailing at $336 (£249), you can purchase it online here and here if you’re in the UK. Let’s hope this device makes it to our shores.
