According to an interesting teleconference between CNET and the CEO of Nvidia, Jen-Hsun Huang, next year should be the year of the Tegra, or more specifically Android tablets. He mentioned that Android tablets will have to do a lot better in order to compete with the iPad. He even called Samsung out on their Galaxy Tab- “It’s a tablet that uses a phone operating system on a large display. A tablet is not a large phone.” He also goes on to say that tablets will be replacing notebooks, netbooks and entry level desktops. No details about the upcoming Tegra 2 tablets were leaked out- even CEOs are sworn to secrecy too, but it sure sounds like Jen-Hsun Huang knows what he’s talking about- let’s hope all the Android manufacturers know what to do too. With a whole multitude of Android tablets being released next year, it’s going to be interesting to see what Apple has up their sleeves for the next iPad. If you were to get a tablet, which operating system would you choose?
