According to a report by Fortune magazine, the Verizon iPhone has been confirmed and will be launched in 2011. The iPhone will be 3G only and not have 4G support. The iPhone is also touted to not have a SIM card slot and GSM radio, so no worldwide roaming will be possible. The iPhone will also come with Verizon’s FiOS TV service (also announced for the Verizon iPad) which will allow you to stream TV on it. Other than that, no additional details were confirmed, but it’s good to know that the Verizon iPhone has been confirmed. So for those of you who were planning to get a new phone from Verizon, will you be waiting for the new iPhone instead? Or does the Droid 2 Global or Droid Pro sound more enticing to you?
