Palm webOS Impresses Developers

When Palm announced that its webOS would use JavaScript, HTML and CCS for applications, many people complained that those languages did not conjure up “real” applications. The good news is developers who have taken the effort to give it a try are reporting that the applications are as native and responsive as normal apps. Apparently Palm has also taken steps to ensure that multitasking does not bog down memory or battery life. Now all they have to do is quickly release the Palm Pre, and we’ll have a rather interesting device to challenge the iPhone’s dominance.
