Bell Trying To Get 911 Lawsuit Dropped

A resident filed a class-action lawsuit back in 2007 against Bell Mobility, stating that he was being charged $0.75 monthly for 911 services, even though there was no 911 service in his area. Bell has been to court trice and failed twice to try and get this issue dropped. When the argument that there was no mention in its contract to cell phone customers stating that they would provide emergency service in its contract with cell phone users. That being said, Justice Côté told Bell that they “jolly well billed for it”. Sometimes, you’d want to think that $6 is not worth the loss of goodwill that the company gets, but hopefully there will be a good solution to this.
