Will we all be receiving promotional material and information via Bluetooth in the future? It certainly looks like things will be moving in that direction as T-Mobile has just announced that it’s trying out Bluetooth as part of a campaign to encourage more people to enter its stores. The project will be piloted at six stores across the country, and folks who pass by will be prompted to enable Bluetooth on their mobiles phones in order to receive T-Mobile offers and deals, which are considered proximity marketing. Would you welcome such marketing methods in the future, or do you think that proximity marketing is unethical? Drop us a comment to let us know what you think.
