S101 HandyPC To Be Android Powered

Published

on

Road has been showing off the latest version of its S101 HandyPC, which is a clamshell smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard and 640 x 240 internal touchscreen. It actually looks like a distant cousin to Nokia’s communicator series. While the device was originally supposed to run a Linux OS with Trolltech Qtopia, it seems like the phone will be launched with Android in it instead. There are still a few kinks that need to be worked out with the phone, but we’re fairly sure that Road will be able to iron them out in time. Hopefully we’ll be able to see this phone available soon.
