Nokia Tests Indoor Location Based Services

Published

on

Nokia has started a public trial of an indoor mapping and information service back in its homeland of Finland. Launched in one of Helsinki’s largest shopping centers, the service will offer customers useful information via their mobile phones, such as indoor maps which are easily searchable which will also show the location of preferred shops, restaurants and information such as opening hours, discount vouchers and many more. Users will access these services via a web browser on their phone, which should make it fairly easy for them to access. If this works, it looks like we don’t have to run to the information counter every time we’re looking for a place to grab a bite.
