Apple iPhone Train Timetable App Trouble

Published

on

An iPhone application that allows you to monitor the timetables for the Sydney trains and ferries would certainly be a handy thing to have (if you live in Sydney anyways). There is such an app called Transit Sydney which has been available in the iTunes App Store for $2.49 for the past 2 weeks that does just that. The bad news is that RailCorp is threatening to sue the developer for copyright infringement if he doesn’t remove the app as RailCorp owns all of its timetable information. The argument is that they were in the planning stages of getting their own app up there, but sometime we find that a little hard to swallow.
