Nokia Check Out Korea Again

Published

on

Nokia hasn’t brought any new phones to Korea since way back in 2003, but with the WIPI regulation recently ditched, Nokia decided to start looking to Korea again. That’s just fine and dandy, though there are a couple of weird decisions by Nokia. Nokia decided to launch the Nokia 6210 Navigator phone in Korea, which is a cool phone, though the country’s regulations will require Nokia to “embed a server with stored map information” to offer navigation services on the phone, but Nokia would rather use a map server over in Singapore, meaning that the Navigator will not be able to navigate. That certainly doesn’t sound too smart. Nokia fans over in Korea will probably hope that Nokia manages to come up with an idea to sort this out.
