LG And Microsoft Work Together

Published

on

LG has committed itself to increase its volume of Windows-powered devices in 2009 and has announced that it will oust more than 50 Windows-powered phones in the following years. Part of the deal with Microsoft is that LG will make Windows its primary operating system on phones that they manufacture. LG plans to release 26 Windows phones by 2012. The latest version of Microsoft’s mobile operating system will be known as Windows instead of the usual Windows Mobile. The first LG device to support the new operating system will be the LG-GM730, which will ship with Windows Mobile 6.1, and have the option to be upgraded to Windows in the second half of 2009.
