Google Latitude For Your Phone

Published

on

Google has released Google Latitude, which is an update to their Mobile Maps app. This new update allows users to share their locations with other users, track friends’ movements, trigger calls, emails and IM conversations directly from the Latitude’s user interface. Of course, if you’re a privacy buff, you can restrict location information on a contact-by-contact basis, or you can even enter a false position manually. G1 users should be receiving the Maps v3.0 update soon. If you’re not a G1 user, you can still enjoy these features on Windows Mobile 5.0 and above, Symbian S60 and most BlackBerry phones. A version for the iPhone and Sony Ericsson devices should be available sometime soon.
