BlackBerry Bold Pulled In Japan

Published

on

Sure the BlackBerry Bold over in Japan might be more juiced up than what we have over here, but that doesn’t mean the device is without its problems. Japanese carrier DoCoMo has suspended all sales of the BlackBerry Bold due to overheating issues related to the device. The Bold, which was launched on February 20th, has caused more than 30 complaints to be sent to the carrier regarding overheating keypads while charging. As a result, DoCoMo has suspended sales of the Bold while it investigates the issue. RIM is obviously not happy with the issue, but was quick to limit the damage to Japan only by stating “This issue appears to be specifically limited to the BlackBerry Bold devices sold in Japan since last week and sales of BlackBerry Bold devices in other countries are unaffected by this matter.”
