Japan’s government is said to be looking for new guidelines regarding the country’s mobile phone system, especially the connection fees, as reports indicate that the connection fees between Japanese mobile operators are 7 times those of landline carriers. The charges of 35 Yen ($0.38) per 3 minutes is said to be one of the reasons for the high cost of domestic mobile phone calls. The government hasn’t decided to reduce connection charges just yet, but is gearing up to gather opinions on how to make the Japanese mobile phone system better.
